Park entry Fees- Queen Elizabeth National Park

Park entry Fees- Queen Elizabeth National Park is a levy that is Set by Uganda Wildlife Authority on behalf of the Ugandan government to be paid by all guests who are entering the park. The park entry fees are paid at the gate before entry to the park and its paid in cash or cashless using the credit card machine which are installed at the park gates. The government is emphasizing on the cashless payments of all park entry fees and soon all parks will not be allowed to receive cash at the gates. All the detailed park entry fees are for 2020 t0o 2022 and after that the park entry fees are revised.

The Park entry Fees at Queen Elizabeth National Park can also be called as Conservation fee due to the fact that their main work is to support the conservation of the park. Its through this money that the conservation programmes at the park are successfully done. These collections are all managed by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. A guest can pay his or her park conservation fees at any of the gates of Queen Elizabeth National park. For record purposes all guests entering to the park are requested to present valid identification like passport, national identity card. This is used for differentiating and categorizing the guests that is : Foreigners, Foreign Residents and East African residents . All the above categories pay different Conservation fee to Queen Elizabeth National Park.  Note that foreign residents of Uganda are supposed to present a valid working permit which is valid for one year minimum.

The Park entry Fees- Queen Elizabeth National Park is paid in two currencies those are the Ugandan shillings which is a local currency and the American Dollars (Usd). All foreigners pay the park entry fees in USD and if using local currency they are subjected to the current exchange rate. Locals and East African residents are allowed to pay the park conservation fees in local currency or USD.  To All the park entry fees to all Ugandan national parks are valid 24 hours from the time of entry to the park. This allows the guest to do park activities that are included at the park entry fees like Game drives. There are other private activities at the park which are not included like Boat cruise, Lion tracking, research fees, community walks, crater visit and others.

The conservation fees for the foreigners is USD40, Foreign residents pay USD30, East Africans and Ugandans pay 20,000sh. For students of Uganda they pay 5000 with avalid student identity card while children do not pay Park  Fee for entering Queen Elizabeth National Park. If you are a foreign resident in Uganda you can pay the annual park entry fees which will make you save as you have access to the national park. Other category of guests that qualify for the annual park entry fees are the Ugandans, East African citizens ( Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burndi and South Sudan) Below are the annual fees:

Please note that the vehicle entry fees are charged per entry not per day to the park.

The landing fees are independent of the park individual entry fees of Queen Elizabeth national park.

The en-route pilots are not liable to the park entry or Conservation fees of Queen Elizabeth national park if they stay for less than 2 hours.
