The surcharge is added depending on the type of the credit card you use. The most common and accepted are the Visa card and Master card.
In addition, guests must also be aware of concession fees that are paid depending on the camp. Some are included directly at the accommodation fees while some you have to pay at the park gates. The park fees are paid per person and its valid for 24 hours if the guest is staying on the lodge inside the park. If the guest is staying outside the park then your park entry fees expire as soon as you check out of the park. The park entry fees are paid in two major currencies those are: US Dollars and Tanzania shillings. The Foreign tourists pay their park entry fees in US Dolars while all East Africans and Tanzania citizens are allowed to pay their park entry fees in Tanzania shillings. All the money is paid in the park individual accounts and you will only go to the park entry gate with the bank serial number or receipt. There are two different accounts one for US dollar account which is used for only receiving park entry fees paid in dollars. If you have Tanzania shillings then you will pay the month to the Tanzania shillings bank account. All the national parks have two accounts that allows the guests to pay fees anywhere in the country. Guests must also take note of that the park entry fees of any national park can be changed any time without notice. No one should take your cash at the park gate because you will be doing it at your own risks. Dodging to pay the park entry fees is a crime and liable of the penalty. You also required to have a valid passport and visa that shows your entry to the country. Tanzania national park fees includes Value Added Tax (VAT).
