Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi

Leave Kampala early after breakfast and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park through the scenic “little Switzerland of Africa” with good views of this beautiful evergreen area. We have a chance to pass by various road side markets, Ankole Long horned cattle farms and other beautiful sceneries; we my have lunch in Mbarara before proceeding the Impenetrable forest check inn our lodge for refreshment and evening relaxing as you have a great views of the forest Dinner and Overnight at Sliverback Lodge (Luxury Lodging) or Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (Mid-range lodging).

Day 2: Gorilla tracking

At 7:45 a.m. you can have an early morning breakfast and travel to the headquarters of the Park to join other trackers in a briefing on the rules of gorilla trekking. Under guidance from the best, most highly trained people for the job, you find yourself face-to-face with something that seems so unequivocally human, it takes your breath away. An early start and a trek through dense rainforest is totally worth it for the privilege of spending an hour with these fascinating mammals. Youngsters may show off and huge silverbacks may beat their chests, but nothing beats just witnessing a gorilla family as they go about their daily business, chomp on bamboo, and watch you in return. It is no wonder that a gorilla trekking safari is often referred to as ‘the most memorable in the world’. In addition you will be able to see numerous bird species, including kingfisher, blue breasted kingfisher and others.

After tracking you will return to our lodge for the relaxing evening. Depending on our choice we can opt for evening community walk. Visit some community projects like schools, orphannages and others. Come back to our lodge for dinner and overnight at Sliverback Lodge (Luxury Lodging) or Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (Mid-range lodging).

Day 3: Transfer to Fort Portal via Ishasha

The safari guide will pick you up early in the morning after your cup of coffee and we start our drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park through its famous sector Ishasha. This is a home of tree climbing lions. He will take you on a game drive on Ishasha sector the famous sector in Queen Elizabeth national park for tree climbing lions.

You will enjoy the game as we search for more game like lions, leopards, buffalo, elephants, kobs, hyenas and many more. After the game drive we proceed to Fort portal tourist city. We check in our lodge for refreshments and some rest then have our lunch. Dinner and overnight at Mountain of the Moon Hotel

Day 4: Transfer to Murchison falls national park

Have our healthy breakfast served in time, after we start oiur drive to the Northern part of Uganda through the great Albertine region. The drive is so scenic and great for birders, you will pass through small towns and villages as you see the true African settlement settings. We arrive to our lodge late afternoon for our lunch and some rest. We can have an evening game drive in search for some game. Return back to our lodge for dinner and overnight at Paraa Lodge (Luxury lodging) or Fort Murchison Lodge (Mid-range)

Day 5: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

Wake up early for your cup of coffee and after the driver will pick you up for an early morning game drive around the Buligi game tracks on the northern bank with a trained ranger guide to see several animals in the Nile valley like: jackals, Lions, herds of buffaloes, waterbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, Rothschild’s giraffe, elephant, oribi and baboons and so many other early risers. You will be taken back to you lodge for lunch and rest for a while. In the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of Murchison falls. Spot the bank residents which include:  the largest hippos and crocodiles, small herds of buffalo. There is rich birdlife on the papyrus banks, encounter shoebill stork, the most sought after bird in Africa. There after you will go back to your hotel for dinner, some drinks and an overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge or Fort Murchison Lodge (Mid-range)

 

Day 6: Departure

After your early morning breakfast, checkout of your hotel and then set off for Entebbe with one stopover to take pictures at the equator monuments.  Then continue to Entebbe where the driver will drop you off at the airport.
