Day 1: Arrival to Uganda

Day 1: Arrival to Uganda

Upon arrival, you will meet and greet the Tan Tours’ representative, who will welcome you and the group thereafter you will be briefed about the tour.

You will then embark on your journey to Kampala, the capital city of Uganda which is about an hour ride. As the car goes through surfaced roads you will see the breathtaking vistas of unmatched sylvan beauty soothed not only the eyes, but the restive soul also.

On arrival, you can check in at the hotel, Feel the heat of the season dwindling, go for a swim to the pool or a walk in the beautiful hotel and have a relaxed day.

Around 7:00pm, you may proceed to have a tasteful dinner

 

Day 2: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable forest NP

Leave Kampala early after breakfast and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park through the scenic “little Switzerland of Africa” with good views of this beautiful evergreen area. We have a chance to pass by various road side markets, Ankole Long horned cattle farms and other beautiful sceneries; we my have lunch in Mbarara before proceeding the Impenetrable forest check inn our lodge for refreshment and evening relaxing as you have a great views of the fotrest Dinner and Overnight at Buhoma Haven Lodge or Rushaga Gorilla Haven Lodge

Depending on where we get the gorilla permits.

 

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking

After breakfast and briefing by experienced park rangers, and with a picnic lunch, we will embark on a trek in search for the Mountain gorillas. These massive primates are extremely rare. It is believed that only 800 remain. The Gorilla tracking starts at the area where the gorillas spent the previous day. Gorilla trackingThe thrill of spending time with and observing these gentle giant gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome, and exciting adventure that will leave us with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience. It is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as the little ones play and interact. We will have a full hour with the gorillas then return to our accommodation for overnight. Tracking takes between 30 minutes and 8 hours depending on where the gorillas are found on that day. In the evening you have optional community walk vist the locals and their community projects. Dinner and Overnight at Buhoma Haven Lodge or Rushaga Gorilla Haven Lodge

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Via Queen Elizabeth NP

After breakfast drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha sector of the park for a game drive in search for tree climbing Lions, leopards, Topis, Bush bucks, Water bucks, spotted hyenas, Buffaloes, Elephants and many more. Enjoy the best game drives with a wide range of bird species. After the game drive we continue with our drive to Kibale Forest National park. Check in our lodge for dinner and over night at Kibale forest Lodge (Mid-range) Rweteera safari camp (Budget)

 

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking and swamp walk

After morning early cup of coffee walk to the briefing point in Kibaale forest NP reported to be home to the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in the world.  Thirteen (13) different species have been identified here. We shall go for Chimp tracking Chimpanzee trackingwhere we have a chance to see a variety of other primates like the Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, Vervet, L’Hoerst and Red tailed Monkeys, Olive Baboons, Red, Black and white Colobus Monkeys. Afternoon swamp walk in Bigodi wet land where we have a chance to see a variety of other primates like the Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, Vervet, L’Hoerst and Red tailed Monkeys, Olive Baboons, Red, Black and white Colobus Monkeys  and birds. Dinner and overnight at Kibale forest Lodge (Mid-range) Rweteera safari camp (Budget)

Day 6: Departure

 

At your lodge you will be served with early morning breakfast as you are preparing to head to Kampala or Entebbe for the flight .
